Many Resources are Available to the District

WRJ offers many resources to the District and its sisterhoods including leadership development, membership growth, program ideas, and much more. In this section of the website, we are going to try to show you the scope of what WRJ offers to our sisterhoods and help you take advantage of the WRJ resources. We also hope to answer some basic district questions that you may have.

District Dues

Each Sisterhood pays $2 in dues to the district in addition to the dues they pay to WRJ. If you have misplaced your dues form, click here. In addition to the dues, there are two voluntary funds on the dues form, described below.

The Glauber — Levinsohn Fund — Our Founding Mothers' Fund

This voluntary fund honors the memories of Sally Kubie Glauber, first president of District 3, and Helen Levinsohn, first president of District 1. Each Sisterhood of the District is asked to contribute not less than $10.00 annually to this Fund. These monies will be allocated to the YES Fund, the World Union for Progressive Judaism, or to any special scholarship fund of WRJ/NE. Such allocations shall be completed by the end of the biennial period. An accounting of these disbursements shall be made at the Board meeting preceding each District Biennial.

The Jane Evans Sisterhood Service Fund

This voluntary fund is named in loving memory for Jane Evans, the first Executive Director of WRJ (then known as NFTS). The money received from individual and local Sisterhood donations is added to the Jane Evans Sisterhood Service Fund. The Fund was established to enable each Sisterhood to receive proper and sufficient service from the District, including materials and personal contact with any District personnel as deemed necessary by the Officers and Board of WRJ/NE. An accounting of these disbursements shall be made at the Board meeting preceding each District Biennial.
